Academic Language in the ASL Community

Abstract

A comprehensive review of scholarly literature regarding definitions of "academic language" - and why the study of "academic language " is important. Further discussion on the topic pertains to descriptions of academic language in the ASL community and examples of academic language in the ASL community.
