“Lady and Flower”

The VL2 needed a new app that involves ASL storytelling therefore I developed this process that has two illustrative formats: traditional drawing and digital art. The colors and lines are vivid and expressive. My goal is to have the sign of the hand-shape appear unique and aesthetic. This process involves drawing a movement of the hand-shape in my sketchbook then scan it into digital format. I enjoy playing around with various hand motions. The types of pencils that I use must be extremely soft and sharp as well using the cursor mouse. I was born deaf and always thought my drawing styles reflect who I am.
