Peer Reviewers at Weave

Peer reviewers should have strong writing skills and knowledge of and/or interest in user experience work within libraries. We prefer prior experience with peer review (either as an author who has published peer-reviewed work or as a peer reviewer for a journal), but it is not an absolute requirement. This is a two-year commitment starting in December 2026 with opportunity for renewal. In terms of workload, we typically ask for reviewers to complete 1 or 2 reviews a year.

To apply, please email a current vita/resume and one to three writing samples (preferably at least one peer-reviewed, published piece) in PDF, Word, or as a web link to:

Applicants may also include supplemental materials that demonstrate knowledge of UX techniques and research, such as usability test scripts, journey maps, ethnographic observation notes, portfolios of web work, etc.  Attach these in PDF or Word format or link to them in the email.

Direct questions about the application process or about Weave’s peer review process in general to the address above. You can also read more about our Editorial Philosophy and our Ethical Publishing Guidelines on our website.
