New leadership for Weave

As you might have heard, our Editor-in-Chief Rebecca Blakiston stepped away from libraries to pursue a career improving government digital services. Because of this, she also ended her term with Weave. She will still be working in the UX field as a Senior UX Researcher for Ad Hoc beginning June 30. We wish her the best and thank her for all she’s done to further UX practice in libraries!

In May we conducted an internal search process and are delighted to announce that Scholarly Submissions Editor Scott Young accepted a three-year appointment as Editor-in-Chief as of July 1!

Scott has been an author, peer reviewer, and editor for Weave, and brings depth of expertise in user experience research and assessment. He serves as the User Experience and Assessment Librarian at Montana State University, focusing on the design and assessment of information services, with related interests in professional ethics. He holds an MA in Archives and Public History from New York University and an MS in Library and Information Science from the Palmer School at Long Island University.

A reminder of our team of editors:

  • Camille Thomas, Senior Editor, Florida State University

  • Berika Williams, Assistant Editor, Tufts University

  • Jean Thrift, Dialog Box Editor, Lander University

  • Jennie Callas, Copyeditor, University of Wisconsin-Parkside

All the best,

Weave Board
