We're excited to introduce you to our two new editors for Weave!
Berika Williams, Scholarly Submissions
Berika is our new Assistant Editor. She joins Camille Thomas and Scott Young to form our Scholarly Submissions team.
Berika is Emerging Technologies and Web Librarian at Tufts University where she specializes in content strategy, IA, and UX research. She leads their UX efforts as well as their Web Content Advisory Committee, which she created with colleagues. She likes style guides and advocates for plain language, and is interested in mentoring authors throughout the writing process, from submitting an idea to the manuscript stage. She's interested in an inclusive and transparent editorial process, one that allows different viewpoints to be heard. She was an ALA Emerging Leader in 2013 and is active in the ALA Core Division.
Jean Thrift, Dialog Box
Jean is our new Dialog Box Editor.
She is the User Experience Librarian at Lander University in Greenwood,
South Carolina, where her focus is on improving the UX across touch
points, including usability testing, card sorting, and other research
methods, as well as instruction, advising, collection development, and
reference. She is an active participant in writing communities and had a
previous career in book publishing.
