We have a few leadership updates to announce for 2022.
Fond farewells
Lisa Gayhart served as Board Chair for three years. Under her leadership, we held our first Weave Town Hall and Authors Chat. She led the search for our copyeditor and appointed three new board members. Lisa has steered the ship and kept an engaged board even when the positions are volunteer, remote, and happening during a global pandemic. The journal would not be as strong without Lisa’s contributions.
Scarlet Galvan served as Dialog Box Editor for four years. She contributed so much to the content and vision for the creative section of the journal. She also managed our finances and ultimately led us to become a CLIR Affiliate, making the journal sustainable for years to come.

New leadership and board members
We welcome David Vess as incoming Board Chair. David is the UX Librarian at James Madison University and has served on our Board the past three years. We're excited to have David continue his service to Weave in this new leadership role.
And after a competitive process, we're pleased to introduce you to three new Board members starting three-year terms:
- Dhruti Bhagat-Conway is User Experience Designer at MIT Libraries
- Katharine Frazier is Digital Resources and Services Librarian at Southern Utah University
- Frank Sweis is User Experience Librarian at Northwestern University Libraries
