Biography
Dhruti (DROO-tee) is a UX Designer at MIT Libraries with a focus on inclusive design, accessibility, and UX research. Dhruti is an advocate for plain language and is working with the MIT libraries to develop policies that will better reflect the breadth of their online users. Dhruti is especially interested in making content inclusive and approachable through plain language. Before starting at MIT in 2021, Dhruti worked for the Boston Public Library where she was the Web Services Librarian. There, she managed the team of staff bloggers and created writing guidelines. She worked with bloggers to develop ideas and edit their content before publication. Dhruti has been a member of the Weave Board since January 2022.
