Biography


Sarah is the Librarian and Communications Officer at the virtual Center for Black, Brown, and Queer Studies (BBQ+). She collaborates on research, pedagogy, and digital humanities projects and events, provides "public academic" reference and instruction services, and manages BBQ+'s website and OER assets. She honed her UX design and research skills during her previous position as an Instructional Design and Reference Librarian at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Sarah strives to bring a critical and inclusive perspective to library and information work. She’s especially interested in rethinking the scholarly publishing and information access landscapes, and she enjoys translating complex concepts into clear and accessible language. She lives in Baltimore/Towson, MD.
