Biography
Alexis Adams (she/her) is a Senior Instructional Teaching & Learning Specialist at Carnegie Mellon University Africa. In her role, she coordinates professional development for faculty and serves as the co-lead of the Teaching and Learning Pillar of the Afretec Network, a network of African universities dedicated to inclusive digital transformation across the continent. She has worked and/or volunteered in the United States, South America, the Middle East, and Africa. She holds a PhD in Second Language Acquisition and specializes in classroom discourse, international and multilingual education, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
