Susan C. Hines is the Director of Teaching & Learning Services at Ellucian. She supervises a far-flung staff of learning experience designers, research analysts, and product trainers and works with clients in higher education on strategy and support for their curriculum, instructional technology, and faculty development endeavors. She has worked for a variety of colleges and universities across the United States with a few stints in Canada and Slovakia. She holds a Ph.D. in English Literature and specializes in the history and theory of hypermedia. A long-time proponent of open educational resources (OER), she is currently focused on ways to optimize teaching and learning through the use of OER and Generative AI.
